Le budget
Pre-departure expenses were spent over several months.
I was lucky to start with already a fair amount of outdoor equipments, which only needed upgrading or completing.

The hardest challenge I had to face was to identify the proper bike I would decide to rely upon. But actually, each object was chosen with similar scrutinity, and most of them were tested in real conditions before the somersault.
I apologise in advance if the budget page is not being frequently updated country by country afterwards, but you'd understand this trip is rather a matter of legs and sweat than accounting and cyber-coffees...

Bike Equipment (panniers, tools, spares) = 400 EUR
Outdoor Gears (sleeping bag, tent, stove) = 1000 EUR
Clothing (3 outfits: wet, dry, night) = 400 EUR
Vaccinations (rabbies/typhoid/meningitis/hep A&B) = 400 EUR
Travel Insurance = 250 EUR for 10 months
Visas = Free up to Turkey ; then 50 EUR per Country valid for ~ 30 days.
Electronics (digital camera, memories) = 700 EUR
Electronics (Thuraya cellphone unit) = 750 EUR
Miscellaneous (medicines, maps, etc.) = 250 EUR
TOTAL (Equipment) = approx. 5000 EUR

Note: Prices are certainly higher in Germany than in Turkmenistan. My estimate is here a tentative average, based on previous travel experiences.
