From Yerevan to Tbilisi

Hi There !

After all these weeks where I have been silent, I would like first to wish you some great holidays if you are having some... now or soon !

I also take the opportunity to invite you to have a look at my route on Google Earth since North-Eastern Turkey through Western Georgia, around Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, and up to Tdibilissi in Georgia. That's a loop of more than 2000km and some points really deserve your interest ! To do so, please simply copy the following link in your web browser : http://www.les-cobra.com/bartrouer/bartrouer.kmz

I cannot afford to describe every place I have been despite my wish to share those marvels with you, but the important thing to tell here is certainly that those Caucasian regions are extremely diverse and each one looks more beautiful than the others ! People are all absolutely kind and welcoming... And I feel very very happy on the paths, tracks and roads I am discovering every day ! Waooh, this trip is great !

Internet connections are getting hard to find and picture transfers are regrettably unrealistically long with the data volumes, which I am dealing with (approx. 150-MB a week).
However, I have sent a CD-Rom from Yerevan on the 10/07/06 and another one from Tdibilisi today. It will take obviously some more time before they are available onto Pixvillage and I apologise for the delay. However, you should be able to discover them very soon !

Meanwhile, you may still want to see - or see again - the existing pictures ! That’s easy and free :

- Download PixVillage at : http://www.pixvillage.com/privatebeta.aspx then install it on your computer.
- Create a free account, and add me to your contact list using my email adress : bartrouer@yahoo.fr.

You now have access to all the pictures of my trip even unpublished on this blog.

After a couple of days in Tdibilisi, I shall ride towards the N-E border with Azerbaidjan. I hope the custom officers will let me in with the Armenian and Karabakhi visas I have now in my passport, and if so, the next newsletter should be written from Baku and be sent in 8 or 10 days from now !

All the best and again : Have wonderful holidays !!

Barth
